Charlie Lucas
Charlie Lucas has been a mainstay in the Brisbane music scene for over 10 years. Playing pop and rock covers and an occasional original gem, his music is heavily influenced by bands such as the Foo Fighters, Sound Garden, Gin Blossoms, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry. His powerful vocals lend itself to both upbeat toe tapping tunes, or stripped back heart string strainers.
Following in his grandfather, Charlie has been singing since he can remember, quickly gaining recognition as a phenomenal vocalist and musician. At 15 Charlie was selected from hundreds of participants to open for Ronan Keating during the Asian leg of his tour, and worked extensively as a session muso in Asia.
After moving to Australia 12 years ago, he has played in multiple blues and rock bands, and as a soloist. Most recently was the lead vocalist in Brisbane funk, roots outfit Fat Picnic, whose single ‘Pass It On’ was played on Triple J and 4ZZZ, and saw the band play festivals such as ‘Island Vibes’.
Charlie’s shows feature an eclectic variety of songs, that both suit background mood music, and a more upbeat vibe. He is a performer that truly needs to be heard to be believed, and is sure to turn heads and prick up ears.

Reviews & Highlights
Testimonials:
“Planning a wedding can be a very difficult and stressful time, so we were extremely happy that one of the best decisions we made when it came to our wedding was to have Charlie as our musician. His happy and enthusiastic personality made him very easy to work with and he couldn’t have been more accommodating to our needs. Charlie’s musical ability speaks for itself with the numerous styles of songs that he has mastered, but it was more his easy going nature and joyfulness that stood out to us and all our guests. We had many of our guests personally approach us to praise him and they said it really made for an enjoyable night having some great live music. He was so well received by one of our guests that they approached him to also perform at the UQ AFL Gala Ball that they were organising. I also attended this event and unsurprisingly Charlie did not disappoint once again. Charlie’s versatility means he is able to perform some great acoustic songs for guests to sing along to but can also get a dance floor going with more upbeat tunes when the time is right. He has a large and varying song list so can cater to all ages. We couldn’t recommend Charlie more highly if you are planning an event and want to provide some great ambience and an upbeat occasion” – Rick and Caitlin Dolphin
