A talented and experienced duo, Chaos and Rapture were formed in December 2008. Vocalist Jared Alexander has been a regular on the Brisbane cover music scene, playing for five years with Maverick, Hoxton Pon and Spanish Blues Duo, with a variety of musicians and genres. Highlights have included playing great venues as Hotel LA, Shafston Hotel, Coolangatta Hotel, Dublin Docks and The Cube in Toowoomba. Jared began singing at an early age, and was encouraged to sing Queen and Roy Orbison hits on his way to 3rd place in the Brisbane Karaoke Competition in 2001. Jared enjoys highlighting the importance of melody to lift people's spirits and assuming a larger than life ringleading personality to encourage all comers to become involved.

Guitarist Chris Timms has, for19 years, been studying the guitar earnestly. Taking lessons from various guitar teachers at an early age, and then moving into band projects, he has worked in many bands from the age of 13 covering a variety of styles including Fourth Axe (Heavy metal band), ZFX (progressive instrumental band), Spinning Silver (progressive metal) MindsAlike (hard rock) and Liquidate (rock) just to name a few. He's done the "covers circuit" with band Crywolf in 2002 in various reptuable Brisbane hotels. Highlights of Chris' career include support for Screaming Jets and The Angels in 2007, Sunk Loto at the Pulse Festival in June 2 2006 and playing at various venues around Brisbane like The Zoo, Living Room, Her Majestys bar with great bands like Each revolving Door, Crimson Tear, Dragonfly and many others. He has taught many students ranging from the age of 6 to 55 at various music schools around Brisbane plus privately.

Realising that venues want bands to both rock AND entertain their guests, C&R's functions and live engagements became a blur of big riffs, solos and busy dancefloors. Clients have been effusive with their praise for the excellent live chemistry, song selections, quality sound equipment and performance which the duo offers.

Chaos and Rapture can cater for any venue from 1-200 people and have a large songbook featuring over 150 songs that is regularly updated! Live shows can be intimate and acoustic or raucous and chaotic as the band name implies. We are available for private corporate bookings, functions and hotel events and are of the highest calibre of professionalism. We look forward to arranging your booking.
