| CoalBucket
Coal Bucket are a three-piece band led by vocalist/guitarist Kye Cole, backed up by bass player Chris Ryan, and Mickis Green on drums. A highlight of their short career was successful 5 week engagement at the Australian Outback Spectacular on the Gold Coast late last year......\"Coal Bucket were a brilliant complement to the \'Australian Outback Spectacular\' Show, they entertained our guests in true Aussie style.\" - Shane Phillips, production manager, Australian Outback Spectacular. Coal Bucket\'s passion is openly portrayed to their audience with a repertoire of songs ranging from old and new classics to some of the more obscure beauties of the past, all delivered with their trademark enthusiasm. Coal Bucket certainly live up to their motto of \"We Make Country ROCK!!!\"
KYE \"THE CANUCK\" COLE
Vocals and guitar
Kye Cole immigrated to Australia from Canada in late 2003. An amateur musician in his home country, since arriving in Australia Kye has pursued a music career full time, and has spent the last two years as the frontman of successful Gold Coast band V3, and their country rock alter ego, Coal Bucket.
Coal Bucket recently performed a 5 week engagement as the band for the Australian Outback Spectacular on the Gold Coast, and it was during this time that the lure of country music began to take over.
\"I grew up on a horse farm in Western Canada, and while I\'ve always loved rock \'n\' roll, my roots really are in country music. Over the last 16 years I\'ve been playing at everything from campfires and house parties, to pubs and weddings.\"
Kye\'s love of music is obvious, and his passion is openly portrayed to his audience. With a repertoire of songs ranging from old and new classics to some of the more obscure beauties of the past, Coal Bucket certainly live up to their motto of \"We Make Country ROCK!\"
CHRIS \"TRAIN\" RYAN
Bass Guitar
Born in Torquay, Victoria, Chris began playing in bands with friends when he was 15, and has been bass guitarist in the bands Meridian, Mudslide and Mummyfat.
It was while he was with Mummyfat that he met Coal Bucket drummer, Mick Green.
Kye Cole had replied to Chris\' advertisement for a guitarist, and after a few jam sessions together, Chris knew Mick was the drummer they were after.
\"It took a bit of convincing to get Mick on board,\" says Chris. \"But after the first session together, we had him!\".
Chris\' studies in audio engineering have also made him an asset to the band\'s production and recording requirements.
\"We\'re all great mates, we\'re all passionate about the music, and we have a lot of fun. The only bad times are when Kye stresses out......(ask about our Biloela tour if you want to know more!!!)\".
MICKIS \"THE MACHINE\" GREEN
Drums
Brisbane-born Mickis Green started his music career at the age of 13. Having only ever wanted to be a drummer, Mickis has been seated comfortably behind his drum kit ever since.
Mickis met bass player Chris Ryan when they played together in Mummyfat, before teaming with Kye Cole to form V3 and now Coal Bucket.
\"I love what I do,\" says Mickis. \"It\'s such a great release.....I go to a different world when I\'m playing. When we get a lively audience, it\'s just great; the vibe comes across and charges us up as well\".
Mickis brings a vibrant energy to the band, as well as the occasional touch of comedy to the band\'s performance, which is a perfect complement to the more laid back personalities of his two band mates.
