Captain Obvious pride themselves on being able to play to any audience in any venue, from a quiet acoustic sunday session in an inner city pub, to a black tie corporate wedding, or a wild B&S rock show on the back of a truck.
Core band members Geoff Hooton (Bass & Lead Vocals),
Lyndsay Hadfield (Guitar & Vocals) and Glen Baker-Jones (Drums & Vocals) can perform in any format of duo/trio or up to a full 7 piece band.
Captain Obvious’ members have played in a wide array of
Brisbane cover, corporate and originals bands including Truly
Unruly, Gridlock, Superunknown, Pop Deluxe, Beaver, Amy’s Bass, Elation and George. Years of entertainment experience ensures their songlist mixes classic singalongs, funk and dance favourites and the latest and greatest rock anthems.
Captain Obvious have recently completed and two and a half years of long term residencies as ‘The Party Factory’ in venues such as the Paddo Tavern, Alexander Hills Hotel and the
Calamvale Hotel.
The band strive to create a party atmosphere, with music that is as close to the originals as possible and will make your venue or event everything you expect with a great live band!!
