Dizzy and Dave first met randomly whilst they were auditioning for a Milli Vanilli tribute show in Brisbane. What initially can only be described as euphoria when the guys both landed lead roles in the production slowly turned to agony as they discovered the repetition of performing “Blame it on the rain,” and “Girl I'm gonna miss you,” four times a day at the Mount Cotton School of the Arts. After lengthy soul searching both Dizzy and Dave decided it was time to hang up the braided wigs and search for a greater existence.
Dave went in search of his until then secret dream of becoming a hairdresser while Dizzy decided the entertainment industry was still beckoning. Unfortunately Dave failed fourteen attempts to become part of the Stephan team and Dizzy was equally unsuccessful in his bid to land the role as the new Wiggle. They didn't believe the black skivvy with naked chicks on it was going to be a successful new direction to take the act even despite Dizzy's continual efforts to convince them otherwise.
The guys bumped into each other almost twelve months later queuing to buy Kenny Rogers tickets. After a couple of reunion drinks the guys decided to reform the Milli Vanilli show but this time doing it how they wanted. That's right Milli Vanilli in the style of Gilbert and Sullivan, as you would expect it didn't take to many shows before the guys realised that this was just a fundamentally bad idea. After throwing round a few more ideas including an Andre Ruei tribute act Dizzy and Dave decided to form Comic Book Hero and what a valuable decision that turned out to be.
